Kidnap and Ransom
Millions of people get kidnapped on an annual basis, most are returned, some are not.
The reasons for kidnapping are varied but generally money, releases of imprisoned persons or sometimes just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Kidnap experiences will vary depending on the kidnapper’s requirements and if it is a solo kidnapper or someone who is part of an organisation.
Every abduction case is unique and has to be treated as such, abduction is not generic. There may be just a single hostage or there could be multiple hostages with different nationalities.
An abduction may be resolved on the same day, or in some cases remain unresolved for many years. Some abductions receive intense media attention and other remain confidential and unnoticed by the public.
Training, risk assessments, good regular intelligence and a plan of action are needed to reduce or mitigate the possibilities of an abduction. This course will explain how to conduct these areas and also offers advice to a person that may be kidnapped on what their experience may be like, the do’s and the don’ts and how their attitude and observation skills can also impact their detention.
